What will it take to change your spouse?

That’s really the question, isn’t it? What will it take to change THEM?

You are asking because you have likely done a lot to change the marriage… maybe even worked on yourself.

And yet…

THEY are still the same.

And as a result, maybe you are too.

But why?

Can I be blunt? Maybe a little too direct because I love you and someone needs to tell you?

There is a brokenness inside you reacting to your spouse. It hasn’t been healed yet. And I’m not saying you haven’t done a bunch of work, prayed, fasted, etc., but the bottom line is there is still wounding of some sort operating.

How do I know that?

Because the healed don’t get offended.

Those places where God has shown us Who He is and we align with His character… that’s when we walk in our True identity – that of Christ Jesus.

And He is not offended.

Nor is He injured by what your spouse just did or said. And if we walk in His Spirit, we will then respond with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control.

Believe me, I personally know what it means to be hurting in a marriage. To have tried “everything” – save a few key elements that made all the difference.

Working out healing with the Lord at a whole different level took me from being a reactive wife to a responding wise woman. I’m not perfect, but we are talking night and day difference here! And I’ve facilitated a PROCESS where God does this for our clients, also.

What does that mean? Even right now you have options, even if you don’t know what they are.

Say your spouse is having a bad day and snaps at you.

Let’s say you also KNOW who and Whose you are in that moment and respond instead of react – even calling them up to a higher level of being, ironically sharpening iron style.

Or, if we are NOT healed, we REACT out of our wounding, emoting anger, NEEDING them to be okay or be okay with us, so that WE can be okay.

None of that is okay.

You aren’t meant to suffer like this – there IS a path out! Email me back, “healing!” and let’s chat about options.

I want you to be DONE feeling like this!
