Is your teen addicted to technology?

Is your teen addicted to technology? Or are you wondering what you might do to keep that from happening?

Does this effect their relationship with God, you, the rest of the family, and their friends?

Of course it does. And we have a few thoughts on the subject. …

Ever get tempted to do their homework? Asking “so how did WE do?”

I hope I don’t step on any toes here…

But…

Doing their homework for them effects their self-esteem in a negative way.

Just a question – and don’t take this personally if I hit a nerve, but listen, rather, to the Holy Spirit if He speaks to you…

Where is the esteem in someone else doing work for you? Where is the sense of a job well done? A hard earned “B” is more rewarding than an “A” where the child barely contributed…

That’s essentially the message He sent me, those times when I have been tempted to do more than I should.

Join Debbie Hitchcock and myself on FamilyLife Today! as we talk these issues with Dennis Rainey and Bob Lepine.

We also talk a ton about dealing with the culture.

Listen to the broadcast here and chime in the comments section with what YOU do to deal with these things…

Thank you so much for the encouragement, messages, emails, and sharing you’ve been doing with us this week. In case you didn’t know, I don’t make any money from any of this – it’s not about book sales, it’s about getting our discipleship method out there – over 95% of our participants, two full years later, say that they STILL feel closer to God and others, compared to before they “did the book,” with The Respect Dare, or took Daughters of Sarah. With All Due Respect is a context through which parents can connect more deeply with their kids. 🙂

Anyway. Just wanted you to know. 🙂

Love to you,

Nina
