Are YOU stuck?
No offense to the poster, as I understand this thought and once believed it was a thing. 🙂 (and btw, none of the criticism dished in the image is holy or helpful, but that’s NOT what this post today is about)

I get what it means to be so miserable and lost that you can’t find your way up. Or out.
Or through.
I learned that for myself (and all of our coaching clients) that we were stuck in what we call “the victim’s seat” – blaming others for our misery.
Easy to do when the evidence looks like the reasons are legit. Problem is that someone ELSE without our same history would show up differently.
Someone with wisdom in this space ask a question instead of taking something personally – even if it was seemingly aimed at us. A wise woman would see deeper than the insult tossed at her and have a respectful response that called the other to a higher level of being.
She would have boundaries.
Her “yes” would be “yes,” and her “no” would be “no…” and the relationship would be different.
This isn’t meant to shame anyone. I didn’t know for a long time, either. You can only know what you do at the time, and of course you have done your best.
But understand this – if you think you have “done everything” to change your marriage, that’s likely NOT true.
If you are still feeling like someone is doing all the things in the post below to you, understand you can change this.
It starts with taking ownership over your circumstances.
And getting out of the victim’s seat.
If you are ready to move forward and change your marriage into something that glorifies God, if you are tired of being a doormat and settling for your joy being stolen, if you are ready to model something different for your kids – reply to this or send email to coachnina (at) greaterimpact.org and let’s set up a time to visit about how to step into the life you are meant to live 🙂
Love to you,
Nina
