Happy Birthday to Who?
I have had enough birthdays come and go to realize that we can often bring tremendous blessing just by showing up with well wishes.
And I remember those days when the kids were little, my husband traveled, and I helped my own children make the card they were going to give me.ย I remember one birthday where I bought my own birthday cake because my husband was out of town on business – the kids and I went to the grocery after school and I picked up the cake that had the most frosting on it.
It also had an alligator on it.
And we were low on candles.
So there was a 4 and a question mark.
(I was actually really fine with this)

At any rate, Leah’s birthday is today – she is on our ministry team and feels called by God to speak to wives with little kids. Dare you to follow her. She’s turning 27 today – and she’s an “old soul” if you know whatย I mean.
She gets it.
At the very least, please join me in wishing her a happy birthday! ๐
You can read her post today here.
Love to you,
~Nina
Happy Birthday, Leah!
P.S. I have, many a times, baked my own birthday cake. I was perfectly okay with it, too! For me, it’s more important that the ones I love are there to eat it with me than for them to go out of their way to accommodate it. God is good! ๐
