Got Pain?
Even the seed must die before it lives – it literally gets ripped in half and destroyed before life bursts forth.
Trust Him in the now of your circumstances. The Christian walk is filled with death. Death to sin, to selfishness, to pride, to independence, to immaturity, to all the things we place before our reliance on God.
Death occurs before life springs abundantly.
Hebrews 12:11 (ESV)
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Something good is coming. Don’t turn away from this present darkness – you’ll miss the coming blessings He has in store for you.
Dare you to ask Him to help you die to the things that are not from Him, that you might have life abundant.
It’s why Jesus came. Follow Him.
Just because we follow Christ doesn’t mean we do not have trouble in this life – but it does mean we have hope.
So glad you are here and on the journey with us! J
Love to you,
~Nina
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for
those who are called according to his purpose.
Thank you for this.
We all come to points of darkness in our lives when we have to TRUST JESUS with every fiber of our being. We don’t know why we are walking thru these hurts and doubts and pain but HE has a plan for us and will use these YUCKY times to bring us into HIS arms…my journey was battling deep depression, someone elses maybe divorce, childlessness, family issues, etc..but one thing we KNOW for sure..HE LOVES US and never lets us go..even when we give up HE doesn’t..PRAISE HIM FOR THAT…be encouraged sisters..HE has a plan for us all..MY LIFE VERSE is Jeremiah 29:11..and I KEEP HOLDING ONTO THAT IN TOUGH TIMES…Be blessed..
Nina- my pastor recommended the Love and Respect book by some guy. I think your blog has helped prepare me to try again but i am afraid that we will again do the ‘fix the wife’ part and then stop because the book starts with the wife…… Please pray for me! And keep sending out encouragement in your blog. Thanks.
Dr. Eggerich. It’s good, just don’t read each others chapters! A great option too, if you are doing The RESPECT Dare, is for your husband to do The Love Dare. Remember you are NOT a doormat, you are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. 🙂 Grow close to the Lord, and you’ll know if you are to do a Matthew 18 response or if you are to “overlook the insult” as in Proverbs 12:16. Men who are harsh or behaving in unloving ways are sinning – God will show you how to deal with that.
Love to you,
Nina
Gonna start with “ouch” because this one caught me right between the eyes. But as my father loves to say, “The truth will set you free. But first it makes you miserable.”
OMYWORD your dad is really stinkin’ smart. Yeah, and ouch. I wish this weren’t the way we learn, but it is… throughout the Bible, story after story after story… and we join them in suffering and lessons learned, and hopefully we join them in the Hebrews Hall of “fame” as “great in the faith” (chapter 11, I think) for our perseverance. Praying for all the broken hearted today. There are many.
the pain is horrific – husband’s divorce trial was yesterday and we believers were smeared through the dung by him and his wicked attorney. Our whole family is torn apart – isn’t this proof enough why God hates divorce? I am not sure what I am dying to now …. O LORD, have mercy on me. Love to you Nina.
Tona, so so sorry…Dear God, be with Your child as she clings desperately to You and Your promises. The learning this side of heaven is wrought with tears, Father. Thank You for holding them in a bottle for us, they are hard offerings. Lord, have mercy on Your children. I praise You for Tona’s heart that pursues You, even in the midst of this suffering now. 🙂
Nina – you are the best. Even though we are geographic miles apart, the Holy Spirit bears witness with our Spirits that we are children of God.
tonacraft – please send me an email katyburrow21@yahoo.com My heart is so heavy for you today. My own divorce related story is a bit different than yours but I would like to be of some encouragement. Praying for you!
Praise God!! The I Am, he is so faithful and just when I needed it most -He sends messages filled with love and understanding to help me persevere in my walk with him. I truly love you Lord. Please be my strength in my weakest moments. I WILL praise You!! =)
You. Have. No. Idea. How. I. Needed. That. Right. Now!
He loves you, baby.
