Smacked Upside the Head…

I wonder what God means by “many” in that first verse.
There’s so much power there, that all I can do is let you chew on it. If we read the rest of the passage, there’s enough there to make one quake in the boots.
Dare you to take heed today. I know I am.
Thanks for being on the journey today…

This illustrates to me someone who is unteachable – uncorrectable (f that is a word). If I cannot be corrected – then I have placed myself in the place of God (perfect). Not good. I often rush to correct others – but get defensive when someone corrects me (esp. in areas I think I have “handled”). This is pride based on self-righteousness and is a “filthy rag” according to scripture. Lord make me more teachable – and humble my heart when I get this way.
I also like this verse: 25 “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.” I’m so caught up with what others think of me (looking good on the outside) – instead of concerning myself with what pleases God (a pure heart). This is my main weakness.
Absolutely! Thanks so much for your comment!
