Compassion Prayer Exercise

If you’ve been hurt by your husband, or are at the point where you feel apathetic, have little empathy, and/or have lost your love for him, know that you can help your marriage by taking our Strength & Dignity eCourse – but only if you have compassion for your husband. If you hate him, you need to take action against that sin. Here’s what God says about compassion:

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Colossians 3:12

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

Matthew 7:12

“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

The Strength & Dignity eCourse will help you set boundaries that bring joy to your marriage and glorify God. To set boundaries without compassion, however, will not help you connect to your husband emotionally if you’ve detached from him.  You cannot heal your marriage if you don’t have compassion for your husband – no matter how he is treating you.

We’ve found that in just 14-21 days, you can develop compassion for your husband (or anyone else, for that matter!) by using the prayer exercise.
